Precisionism

This is my precisionism piece. Im not really proud of this one either. I dont really like how it turned out and i think it was because i had to rush on it so i could turn it in on time. it was an interesting piece to do because i had to worry more about getting the angles and proportions right, it was also the first piece i did with prisma colors.

This is my piece for synthetic cubism. I used comic strips, wall paper, and a little bit of acrylic on the guitar, and drawing pencils for the bottle, the background is all acrylic. I think i could have done a lot better on it and im not very proud of it.

For this piece we followed Gustav Klimt's style with patterns. i liked working on this piece and i was pretty happy with how it turned out. i like working with patterns and i think that helped a lot too. It was interesting trying to make the background look flat and at the same time try to make the person look more realistic and 3 dimensional to give it that push-pull effect. I worked with different shades of blue and neutral colors for the skin, i like how that turned out too. for this piece i used acrylic and found papers.

For this piece we followed Chuck Close's style with pixelated pictures. It was a very time consuming project but i liked making it and even though it doesnt look like the picture i think it turned out good. I like the cartoon like look that it has to it. The only part i had problem with was the nose it didn't turn out the way i wanted it to but i dont think it looks that bad either, i also had a problem finding the right colors for my skin.

Equality... I chose this word because i think it is a word that can mean a lot to many people.... I think this piece turned out good... i really liked the color scheme even though i kept having trouble with the green, but in the end i think it turned out good. I tried to make it look simple because it think it is a simple word yet it has a strong meaning. I made the arrows in different shapes to show that event though they are not idnetical they are both arrows and they are both pointing at the same thing. The figures represent both women and men, the different colors represent different races, and they are not identical but at the same time they all represent people.

Stained Glass

My stained glass piece..... i think this actually turned out good. I think it turned out so much better that the last project i did. For this one i wasn't really sure what to do either, but from my experience with the last project i tried something different and it turned out good. Hopefully i will keep improving on my artwork as we go through the year.

This is my image transfer piece. I don't really like it. When i first started the project i wasn't really sure what i wanted it to look like. I was trying to make it tie in with my theme so i cut out images from a magazine that were related to Mexican culture and made into a collage. It didn't turn out as good as i wanted it to, and i know i could have done a lot better.
